Who are the Rails Builders?

It's a network of a 100 Rails Builders (~12/100 as of time of writing) who get together to share their experiences building useful products and getting them out into the world since beginning of 2025.

How do the Rails Builders groups work?

The Rails Builders meet in cycles (think a 3-month period) where experienced Ruby developers (and Bill) build real businesses. In a curated cohort of ambitious builders who are serious about shipping, scaling, and succeeding with Ruby on Rails. The group has a few simple rules, traditions and fun gamification elements to keep everyone rolling, learning and focusing on their product, marketing and sales funnels.

They have a bi-weekly session, an ever-improving format and a drive to make progress together as never before.

The Rails Builders started as a funky idea in early 2025 as one group of builders who hack and vibe out products with Ruby on Rails coming together every week to gain clarity around their idea, product, marketing and tech decisions.
